To all charities and Federations applying to the King County Combined Federal Campaign:

Announcing! A CFC Charity Application Workshop for 2010
When:  Tuesday, March 16, 2010
Time:   9:00 a.m. – Noon
Where:  Jackson Federal Building, South Auditorium
915 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA  98174

This workshop will provide instructions for successfully completing a CFC Application to the 2010 Campaign. It is recommended that all charities new to the application process attend this session.

We attempt to notify all agencies that have participated in recent campaigns and those that have shown an interest in applying of the exact dates applications can be accepted. However, as an agency, it is YOUR responsibility to submit a timely application, and we recommend that if you haven’t heard from us by March 1st that you check this website or call us regarding those dates.

We do hold a workshop in February each year for agencies seeking inclusion, at which time we explain the process, key dates, and any changes in regulations or policies that may affect your application. An agency must apply for inclusion EVERY YEAR, and must meet all requirements EVERY YEAR, applications WILL NOT be kept on file and automatically be considered for inclusion. The application requirements are taken from Federal Register 5 CFR Part 950 Subpart B (950.201, 950.202, 950.203, 950.204, 950.205) and also Subpart C for Federations. These regulations can be downloaded from the Office of Personnel Managements CFC Webpage (www.opm.gov/cfc). If applying as a Federation, you must have at least 15 member agencies which meet these requirements plus other specifications mentioned in 5CFR Part 950 Subpart C.

If applying as a National or International Agency, your application is made to the Office of Personnel Management on an annual basis. If you would like to apply as a National Agency, call 202-606-2564 and request an application or check the OPM Website at www.opm.gov/cfc to download an application. Among other requirements, an organization must provide or conduct real services, benefits, assistance, or program activities in 15 or more different states or a foreign country in order to be considered for National inclusion.
